Projects related to education and self-sufficiency
We support initiatives that strengthen education and community self-reliance by combining local knowledge, expertise and a connection to the environment. Each project aims to develop sustainable solutions to the needs identified by the communities themselves.
What is our methodology?
Our approach is based on respect for local knowledge, expertise and cultures. Communities choose their own projects, set their own priorities and actively participate in every stage. We support them to ensure that their initiatives are sustainable, tailored to their environment and designed to strengthen their self-reliance, while fostering connections with education and the transmission of knowledge.
How doES work...
... the orphanage in Burma ?
From 2012 to 2024, we supported the creation and development of an orphanage in Hmawbi to provide a safe and educational home for 26 children from vulnerable backgrounds. With the support of volunteers, sponsors and donors, the project developed self-sufficiency initiatives : raising pigs, chickens and fish, maintaining a vegetable garden and operating a preschool. These initiatives have enabled the orphanage to become self-sufficient while teaching the children practical skills. Today, it operates independently, serving as a model of sustainable education and self-sufficiency.

... the water supply for a village in Cameroon ?
This project improves access to drinking water for 800 residents of the village of Mvam-Essaebeng through a borehole, a solar-powered pump and elevated water tanks. A local committee and a water technician manage the system. The initiative contributes to health, gender equality and local economic development, while involving the community in the management of its resources.

- Beneficiaries : 800 residents + 200 people passing through the village

... the construction of a high school in Ethiopia ?
In Alduba, the high school supports access to education for Hamer youth and helps them achieve professional independence. Local residents participate in the construction and management of the school. The project promotes gender equality, local capacity-building and sustainable partnerships.

- Participants : The Hamer community in Ethiopia and local partners
- Beneficiaries : 160 young people from the village of Alduba, as well as 7000 people living in the surrounding area
