In the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon, the indigenous Waorani community is fighting to preserve its cultural identity and traditional way of life.
Faced with increasing pressure from oil exploitation, their environment and heritage are under threat. Constellation Sociale has partnered with the Waorani to initiate a project to rebuild the Community House, symbolizing a cultural revival.
Project Objectives
Our goal is to integrate income-generating activities, including chicken farming, to meet the village’s food needs, create jobs and strengthen the community’s autonomy.
On the ground with Byron
Constellation Sociale is carrying out this project in collaboration with Byron Eweme, a young leader of the Waorani community. Together, they are working to revitalize this cultural symbol while meeting the needs of the community. Byron acts as the local representative of the Waorani and allows us to develop the various projects.

How to help the Waorani?
The various funds raised will allow us to finance all stages of the project, from the reconstruction of the Community House to the establishment of income-generating activities.
