Constellation Sociale is an association born in 2015 from the desire to support an orphanage in Burma.
Since our beginnings, our main mission has been to promote diversity, interculturality and self-sufficiency, both in France and internationally. Over time, we have been able to extend our actions with different communities around the world, including the Bulus in Cameroon, the Waorani in Ecuador and the Tah ka Lone in Burma.
Our history
From Burmese orphans to indigenous peoples.
In 2015, we launched our first projects in Burma by supporting Mary, a Burmese woman determined to help the orphans of her country, often victims of ethnic and religious wars. Our goal was to promote the self-sufficiency of Mary, the orphans and to give them access to education. Today, the orphanage has a nursery school, a pigsty, a vegetable garden and a large agricultural field. We also supported Guillaume’s project, which wanted to build a “boarding house” in Chin State, one of the most isolated states in Burma, to provide essential support, particularly in the field of education, to around forty children and orphans. This allowed us to strengthen our skills in developing self-sufficiency and enriched our activity programs for children and orphans.
We are also committed to working to mitigate inter-ethnic and inter-religious conflicts. In 2022, this dynamic gave rise to three new projects, launched in Cameroon, Ecuador and Burma. In each community concerned, a young person from the village collaborates with us, exchanging with the different generations of his community to preserve and promote their know-how.
At Constellation Sociale, we firmly believe that the marriage between tradition and modernity is essential to building a better future. We wish to see a world where interculturality is perceived as a source of enrichment, where diversity is not only respected but also celebrated and where fairness and respect for others are fundamental values.
For us, interculturality is not limited to simple coexistence, but rather to an enriching exchange between different cultures. We defend the idea that each individual, regardless of their origin or background, deserves to be treated fairly. By valuing and preserving cultural differences, we aspire to create an environment where each individual can flourish fully and contribute to building a more united world.
