The “path of knowledge and flavors” project highlights the intercultural richness of young people through their eating habits, so that together we can explore the challenges of a more equitable and mindful approach to food.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
“Path of Knowledge and Flavors” is an educational project led by Constellation Sociale. Through food, participants celebrate the richness of their cultures, explore culinary knowledge and skills from diverse cultures (including one of Constellation Sociale’s rural partner communities), and collectively examine the challenges of sustainable food systems and food sovereignty. Based on learning by doing, the project alternates between moments of sharing, collective reflection, and creativity to develop each participant’s skills.
How does it work in practice?
Over the course of the sessions, participants will:
Exploring global food diversity through a “world tour” of culinary practices and cultures
Draw on their personal experiences to get to know themselves, get to know others, and better understand the connections between culture and food
Take part in fun activities to explore the origins of food and its impacts
Engage in collaborative creative activities that allow participants to imagine and create together around the theme of food (preparing dishes, designing posters, editing videos, painting, etc.)
